HOW TO MAKE MAIL MERGE

Step 1: Start the mail merge

  1. In Word, choose File > New Blank document.
  2. On the Mailings tab, in the Start Mail merge group, choose Start Mail Merge, and then choose the kind of merge you want to run.

  3. Choose Select Recipients > Use an Existing List.

  4. Browse to your Excel spreadsheet, and then choose Open.
  5. If Word prompts you, choose Sheet1$ > OK.
    NOTE: Now the Excel spreadsheet is connected to the mail merge document you’re creating in Word.

Edit your mailing list
You can limit who receives your mail.
  1. Choose Edit Recipient List.

  2. In the Mail Merge Recipients dialog box, clear the check box next to the name of any person who you don't want to receive your mailing.
    Select rows by checking the check box
    NOTE: You also can sort or filter the list to make it easier to find names and addresses. For more information about sorting and filtering items, see Sort and filter the data for a mail merge.

Step 2: Insert a merge field

You can insert one or more mail merge fields that pull the information from your spreadsheet into your document.
To insert an address block for an envelope, a label, an email message, or a letter
  1. On the Mailings tab, in the Write & Insert Fields group, choose Address Block.

  2. In the Insert Address Block dialog box, choose a format for the recipient's name as it will appear on the envelope.

  3. Choose OK.
  4. Choose File > Save.
To insert a greeting line in an email message or a letter
  1. On the Mailings tab, in the Write & Insert Fields group, choose Greeting Line.

  2. In the Insert Greeting Line dialog box, do the following:
    • Under Greeting line format, change the salutation if necessary by choosing the greeting (Dear is the default), the format for the recipient name, and the ending punctuation (a comma is the default).
      and
    • Under Greeting line for invalid recipient names, choose an option in the salutation list.
  3. Choose OK.
  4. Choose File > Save.
To insert data from your spreadsheet in an email message or a letter
  1. On the Mailings tab, in the Write & Insert Fields group, choose Insert Merge Field.
  2. In the Insert Merge Field dialog box, under Fields, choose a field name (column name in your spreadsheet), and then choose Insert.
  3. Repeat step 2 as needed, and choose Close when done.
  4. Choose File > Save.

ASSIGNMENT (INPUT & OUTPUT)

PRINTER MODEL FAR-19


This printer actually is combination of input and output. The pen drive is the input and the printer is the output.  So, For the future we trying upgrade the printer much better convenient.  We actually want to  create printer which does not need us to print through computer or laptop. We can just insert pen drive into the port. This printer also has touch screen. So that we can choose our file. This can save our time also. This printer also can perform by using WiFi , scan and fax. 

VIRAL


Viral merupakan perkataan yang besar dan semakin mendapat tempat dalam kehidupan tamadun komunikasi moden masa kini .Berasal dari perkataan VIRUS- sudah tentu minda manusia akan terfikir akan bahaya yang boleh merebak kepada manusia lain secara pantas.Viral dari aspek komunikasi: satu kuasa aliran komunikasi elektronik yang disebarkan secara pantas dan meluas secara interpersonal.

Viral merupakan satu fenomena yang semakin mudah tersebar. Kewujudan media sosial  yang popular seperti facebook, twitter, whatsapp,  instagram dan youtube telah memudahkan bahan viral tersebar dengan cepat dan meluas. Dengan hanya menekan satu klik sahaja ‘share’ atau ‘repost’, kita berupaya tergolong sebagai penyebar maklumat yang kadang kala diragui kesahihannya.
Viral ini mempunyai kebaikannya juga . Misalnya, video-video penderaan, jenayah yang telah tersebar telah membuka mata pihak berkuasa serta masyarakat.  Hal ini mampu memberi kesedaran khususnya ibubapa untuk memperhati perilaku anak – anak mereka sekiranya mereka menadi salah satu dari mangsa penderaan. Selain itu, viral ini jugaa membantu para peniaga atau usahawan untuk mengembangkan lagi perusahaan mereka. Tidak ketinggalan juga, terdapat beberapa golongan artis yang dapat mengembangkan potensi nyanyian atau lakonan bermula dari kisah viral mereka.

Bergantung kepada pengguna juga, ada yang hanya memuat naik foto, video atau status sebagai suka – suka. Namun , mereka tidak sedar bahawa tindakan mereka ini telah mengundang  reaksi negatif daripada orang ramai. Oleh itu, kita mestilah berfikir sebelum memuat naik sesuatu perkara dan memastikan kesahihan sebelum menyebarkan sesuatu perkara.

Technology help us to live a better life. Can you imagine a day without technology ? However it need to be control or technology is taking over our life. Here some health concern that will affect your health if you are too obsess with technology.

Beside than effect on psychological and social well being, spending a large portion of the day in front of a screen can lead to minor eye ailments and long term sight problems such as advanced myopia. Not only that, Spending too much time staring at bright screens from our laptops, smartphones and tablets can cause tension headaches, eye strain and dry eye

Next, spending your life plugged into your iPod may make you feel like dancing in the streets, but it can take a toll on your ears. Earbud use can cause hearing loss and tinnitus (ringing in the ears). The sensitive hair cells in your inner ear never grow back once they have been damaged. The National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders reports that about 15 percent (26 million) of Americans between the ages of 20 and 69 have a reduced capacity to hear high frequency sounds because of exposure to loud sounds.A 2005-2006 study published in the Journal of American Medicine in 2010 reported that 19.5% of American adolescents aged 12 to 19 suffered from hearing loss. That’s a jump of one-third from the numbers reported in 1988-1994. Some of that increase may be attributable to earbud use.


Furthermore, when you bend your head down, the head is no longer supported by the whole system of the vertebrae, but only by the neck. This puts unnecessary strain on the neck muscles and can lead to pain, including tension headaches. Laptops create especially poor posture for the neck, as users tend to hunch down to look at them. Holding your cell phone between your neck and your shoulder may be a cheap hands-free option, but it also puts your neck in an unhealthy position. Even texting usually involves a lot of hanging your head over your phone. However, all this can be prevent.
